The Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 6 (CSCRO6) awarded 10 government offices that met Maturity Level 2 Indicators in certain Core Human Resource (HR) Systems under the Enhanced Program to Institutionalize Meritocracy and Excellence in Human Resource Management (PRIME-HRM) on April 18, 2016 in Iloilo City.
Directors Rodolfo B. Encajonado and Raymund F. Gonzales gave the Certificates of Recognition to the (1) Department of Trade and Industry Regional Office No. 6 (DTI RO6), (2) Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) RO6, (3) Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) RO6, (4) Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) RO6, (5) Western Visayas Medical Center, (6) City Government of Iloilo, (7) Municipal Government of Bugasong, Antique, (8) Municipal Government of Carles, Iloilo, (9) Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, and (10) Talisay Water District.
The PRIME-HRM is a mechanism that empowers government agencies by developing their human resource management competencies, systems, and practices towards HR excellence. Under the program, the CSC assesses the maturity level of an agency in the four HR systems: (1) Recruitment, Selection and Placement, (2) Learning and Development, (3) Performance Management, and (4) Rewards and Recognition. An agency may be classified according to four maturity levels- Transactional HRM, Process-Defined HRM, Integrated HRM, and Strategic HRM.
The CSC also provides customized technical assistance and developmental interventions according to the needs of the agency. Agencies may then vie for special rewards and citations for HR excellence.
