The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNSCA) announces the Search for Outstanding Volunteers (SOV) for 2013 which aims to recognize exemplary performance and dedication of Filipino volunteers who are instrumental in building strong communities across the country.
There are two categories for the Search- the National Outstanding Volunteer Award (NOVA) conferred to outstanding volunteer individuals and organizations, including corporate volunteering initiatives, and the Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Award (VLAA) which is awarded to a Filipino volunteer, volunteer organization, or a local chapter of a foreign volunteer organization serving the Philippines for at least 25 years.
The SOV is open to individuals of Filipino citizenship, Filipino volunteer organizations, and local chapters of foreign volunteer organizations that currently give assistance in the Philippines.
Deadline for submission of nominations is on August 23, 2013. Nomination forms are available at the National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office 6 or may be downloaded at www.pnvsca.gov.ph or www.neda-rdc6.ph.
