The Civil Service Commission (CSC) calls on all government officials and employees as well as individuals in the private sector to submit nominations to the 2013 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees under the Honor Awards Program (HAP).
The Search is open to all officials and employees in the career and non-career service of the government, including appointive barangay officials and employees recognized as government employees pursuant to CSC Resolution No. 01-1352 dated August 10, 2001.
Three awards categories are at stake: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan, Outstanding Public Official and Employee or the Dangal ng Bayan, and the CSC Pagasa Awards.
Interested individuals can secure the guidelines and documentation requirements at the CSC Regional Office No. 6, No. 7 Oñate St., Mandurriao, Iloilo City or any of the CSC Field Offices. The same may also be downloaded at www.csc.gov.ph.

Deadline for submission of nominations is on March 29, 2013.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) recently released the result of the Penology Officer Examination (POE) conducted nationwide on August 12, 2012.
The Commission calls on all examinees who took the POE to check the result of the examination online via the official CSC website www.csc.gov.ph.
POE Examinees can now secure their results using the Online POE Result Generation System. Said examinees need to provide their Examinee Number and other required information in order to secure their Notice of Rating (for passers) or Report of Rating (for non-passers).
Passers of the said examination will be conferred the Penology Officer Eligibility, considered appropriate to second level ranks in the jail management and penology and functionally related services only, except for ranks under the Philippine National Police.

The Civil Service Commission Regional Office 6 (CSCRO6) bagged the Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award (CSC Seal of Excellence) after getting an excellent rating during the Anti-Red Tape Act Report Card Survey (ARTA RCS) conducted by Pulse Asia on October 24 to November 17, 2011.
The ARTA RCS is a structured tool for actual gathering of clients’ feedback on government agencies’ frontline services.
CSCRO6 Director IV Rodolfo B. Encajonado received the Seal of Excellence during the awarding ceremony on October 15, 2012 at the Civil Service Commission in Quezon City. The office also received a cash reward of P75,000.
Director IV Rodolfo B. Encajonado was conferred the 2012 Gawad Katangi-tanging Pinuno Award for his exemplary leadership and outstanding achievements as Regional Director of the Civil Service Commission Regional Office 6.
Another employee, Administrative Officer V Leo Jamorin, was also conferred the 2012 Gawad Kahusayan Award for his extraordinary performance and continuous demonstration of competency and capacity in the execution of his duties.
Director Encajonado and Mr. Jamorin hurdled the validation stage and bested nominees from other regions.
There are four major categories of awards: Gawad Katangi-tanging Pinuno, Gawad Kahusayan, Gawad Kagitingan, and Gawad Karangalan. The said awards are conferred during the Commission’s Annual PRAISE Awards Rites at the CSC Central Office usually held during the civil service month.
