The Civil Service Commission announces the start of the 2012 Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees under the Honor Awards Program.
Three awards categories are at stake: the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award, the Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan Award, and the CSC Pagasa Award.
In line with the Commission’s advocacy of promoting excellence and recognizing civil servants for outstanding performance, contribution, achievements and/or consistent manifestation of exemplary ethical behavior, the CSCRO6 calls on Heads of agencies and state workers to submit their nominations for the search.
Aside from individual nomination, group nominations for the Lingkod Bayan and Pagasa Awards are also encouraged (not exceeding 10 members).

Awardees for the Lingkod Bayan Category will receive a gold-gilded medallion and plaque containing the citation and signature of the President of the Philippines, Php200,000 cash, and other forms of rewards under Sec. 5 of EO 508 entitled “Instituting the Lingkod Bayan Award as the Presidential Award for Outstanding Public Service.”
For the Dangal ng Bayan Category, winners shall receive a trophy designed by National Artist Napoleon Abueva, Php200,000 cash, and other forms of incentives provided under Sec. 6, Paragraph 3 of RA 6713 or the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
Pagasa awardees will receive a gold-gilded medallion, plaque containing the citation and signature of the Chairperson of the Commission, and Php100,000 cash reward provided under Sec. 6 (b) of the Omnibus Rules Implementing Book V of EO 292.
