CSCRO6 joins “Ehersisyong Pangkalusugan”

Government employees coming from various National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, and Government Owned and Controlled Corporations all over region 6 joined the “Ehersisyong Pangkalusugan Para sa Lahat” on May 15, 2011.

The event, spearheaded by the Department of Health -Center for Health Development Western Visayas was actively supported by the Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. 6 through the mobilization of government agencies in the region.

Simultaneous ‘Ehersisyong Pangkalusugan’ activities were held in key provinces in region 6. In Iloilo City, CSCRO6 personnel together with Regional Director Rodolfo B. Encajonado joined some 1,500 government employees at the Plazuela Compound, BS Aquino St., Mandurriao as early as 6:00 in the morning for the physical exercises.

In his message, Director Encajonado said that the “Ehersisyong Pangkalusugan Para sa Lahat” is one of the activities aligned with CSC’s strategic priority “Cultivating Morale, Harmony, and Wellness in the Bureaucracy.” He added that government employees can be more productive in the delivery of public service if they are physically and mentally fit for work, the reason why CSC is actively involved as DOH’s partner in its healthy lifestyle campaign.

DOH Regional Director Ariel Valencia was also present during the fitness activity. The said agency has been constantly working in partnership with stakeholders to prevent, control, and reduce the risk of non-communicable diseases through advocacy and promotion of healthy lifestyle practices.

“Ehersisyong Pangkalusugan Para sa Lahat” is one of the activities they are vigorously campaigning under the National Healthy Lifestyle Mobilization Campaign which got the full support of President Benigno Aquino III with his personal participation in the activity held in Quezon City.
