The Civil Service Commission Aklan Field Office awarded to passers of the CSE-PPT Professional and Subprofessional Levels held in Kalibo, Aklan on October 17, 2010 their Certificates of Eligibility last February 24, 2011.
A total of 103 passers for the Professional Level and 69 passers for the Subprofessional Level were conferred their certificates in an awarding held at the ABL Sports and Cultural Center, Kalibo, Aklan.
Guests of honor includes Aklan Provincial Vice Governor Gabrielle V. Calizo-Quimpo for the Professional Level and Dep-Ed Aklan Education Supervisor I Ms. Corazon S. Beluso for the Subprofessional Level. In their messages to the passers, the guest speakers anchored on the importance of ethical standards and moral values which are highly essential to gain the trust and confidence of the people. Both speakers, whose integrity were proven in their chosen careers, also emphasized the importance of right attitude towards work and to observe the spirit of nationalism in whatever field of endeavors they may take.
The Certificate of Eligibility (Professional) is appropriate to any first and second level positions in the government not covered by Bar/Board/special laws and other special eligibilities, provided he/she meets the other qualification requirements of the position. On the other hand, Certificate of Eligibility (Subprofessional) is appropriate to any first level positions in the government not covered by Board/special laws and other special eligibilities provided he/she meets the other qualification requirements of the position.
The awarding ceremony is a joint collaboration between CSC-Aklan, Aklan Council of Personnel Officers, Provincial Government of Aklan, Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, DepEd Division of Aklan, Metro Kalibo Water District and Aklan State University-New Washington Campus.
Policy on Taking the Exam Amended
In CSC Resolution No. 1100300 promulgated on March 1, 2011, the Civil Service Commission revised the policy on the frequency of taking the Career Service Examination. There is no more limit in taking the examination. However, taking the same level of examination, Professional and Subprofessional, either through Paper-and-Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) or Computer-Assisted Test (CAT) shall be once in every three (3) months only.
The Commission based its ruling on the numerous requests received from examination applicants to lift the policy on the frequency of taking the CSE. The Commission also considered the good progress it has made in strengthening security measures and in improving the systems and procedures in the conduct of examinations which made it feasible to lift certain limitation on the frequency of taking the exam.
The Commission also announced that the registration fee for both the Professional and Subprofessional Levels increased to Five Hundred Pesos (Php500.00) pursuant to CSC Resolution No. 1100152 promulgated on February 1, 2011. The new policy on the frequency of taking the Career Service Examination as well as the revised registration fee will now be adopted in the forthcoming CSE-PPT Examination schedules, as follows:
