Past Honor Awards Program (HAP) Awardees in region 6 were given recognition during the Closing Program of the 110th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary at SM City Iloilo on September 16, 2010.
With the theme “In a R.A.C.E. to Serve: Advancing Responsive, Accessible, Courteous, and Effective Public Service,” the activity showcased the exemplary achievements of the HAP awardees in order to inspire young citizens and government workers to aim for R.A.C.E. in public service.
From 1991-2009, region 6 reaped a total of 35 HAP awardees. Of this number, 13 were recipients of the Pagasa Award, 10 for the Dangal ng Bayan Award, and 12 were recipients of the Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award.
2001 Lingkod Bayan Awardee Ma. Jade B. Catalan of the Iloilo State College of Fisheries gave a response on behalf of the past HAP awardees.

The Search for the Best R.A.C.E. Exhibits was one of the activities for the month-long celebration of the 110th PCSA. Government offices set up exhibits in their respective lobbies/grounds, featuring their accomplishments and current programs/projects/activities which keep them in the race to serve the Filipino people.
On the other hand, 30 agencies who actively participated in this year’s “Government Express at the Mall” were also cited during the Closing Program. “Government Express” ran from September 13-16, 2010 at the SM City Iloilo Activity Center.
CSC Assistant Commissioner Anicia Marasigan-De Lima graced the event and gave a message on behalf of CSC Chairman Fransisco T. Duque III.
