Deadline of filing of applications for March ’09 Career Service Exam moved to Feb. 16,
Result of Nov. ’08 Career Service Exam released
Interested applicants for the March 29, 2009 Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) Professional and Subprofessional levels have until February 16, 2009 to file their applications.
The original deadline which was February 11, 2009 was moved to February 16, 2009 by the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to accommodate the requests of the CSC Regional Offices as well as the public, as stated in CSC Office Memorandum No. 12, s. 2009 dated February 9, 2009.
The CSE-PPT (Professional and Subprofessional levels) is open to Filipino citizens who are at least 18 years of age on the date of filing of application. For additional information regarding the admission requirements, interested applicants may visit the CSCRO6 website http://www.cscro6.wordpress.com or the CSC website at http://www.csc.gov.ph.
Application requirements include (1) Properly accomplished examination application form (CS Form No. 100-A Revised 2008); (2) four latest and identical passport size (1.5”x2”) ID pictures with white background and full nametag (surname, first name, middle initial) taken within three months before the date of filing of the application; however, scanned, photocopied, or computer-enhanced pictures are not accepted; (3) any valid Identification Card (e.g. Office/School ID, Driver’s License, Valid Passport, Postal ID, SSS ID, GSIS ID, Police Clearance Certificate, etc.) which contains the applicant’s picture, signature, birth date, and signature of the authorized head of the issuing agency and photocopy of the said ID; and (4) examination fee of Php350.00.
The CSE-PPT (Professional and Subprofessional) will be in English and Filipino. The CSE-PPT Professional level will cover vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, analogy, logic, and numerical reasoning. The CSE-PPT Subprofessional level will cover vocabulary, grammar and correct usage, paragraph organization, reading comprehension, spelling, clerical operations, and numerical reasoning. Both levels will also include general information on the Philippine Constitution, RA 6713 (Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees), Peace and Human Rights Issues and Concepts, and Environment Management and Protection.
Passing grade for the said examination is 80.00.
Meanwhile, the Civil Service Commission recently released the result of the November 16, 2008 Career Service Examination-Paper and Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for both Professional and Subprofessional levels.
The result is posted on the CSC website http://www.csc.gov.ph. Failed examinees may also view and print their Report of Rating online through the said website.
