The Civil Service Commission (CSC), in Memorandum Circular No. 9, s. 2018, laid out the conditions based on CSC MC No. 14, s. 2017, which shall be adopted in the validation of Citizen’s Charter compliance for the 2018 Performance Based-Bonus (PBB).
The Civil Service Commission announces the conduct of the Pre-Employment Test, Promotional Test, and Ethics-Oriented Personality Test (EOPT) on October 24, 2018. The tests are for government agencies opting to adopt any or all of the tests to be part of their screening process on recruitment, placement, and promotion. All applications shall be coursed through the agency adopting any or all of the tests.
Filing of applications will be from June 25 to August 24, 2018. In Region 6, the testing center will be in Iloilo City.

The Civil Service Commission (CSC) advises examinees of the June 17, 2018 Fire Officer Examination (FOE), Penology Officer Examination (POE), and Basic Competency on Local Treasury Examination (BCLTE) that the said exams have been moved to a later date, June 24, 2018.
The rescheduling is implemented to ensure efficient, timely discharge of preparatory/administrative requirements and procedures for the conduct of the examinations in light of the observance of two national holidays: Araw ng Kalayaan on June 12, and Eid’l Fitr or end of Ramadan on June 15.

Heads of government offices are encouraged to post/display “No Smoking” signages in conspicuous areas within their premises pursuant to CSC MC No. 17, s. 2009, and ensure that all their employees and transacting public are made aware of the said MC and the prohibition on smoking except in designated outdoor areas, and to assign responsible person/s to: (1) Ensure implementation and compliance with the policy; (2) establish procedures for reporting and dealing with violation; and (3) monitor and report on rates of compliance and effectiveness of the policy.
Heads of agencies/offices are also reminded to inform all their officials and employees of the policy against tobacco industry interference and to amend their respective Codes of Conduct by incorporating the rules provided in Annex A of the CSC-DOH Joint MC.
Director II John Esar T. The Civil Service Commission announces the acceptance of nominations to the 2018 Search for Outstanding Government Workers. The conduct of the annual Search is mandated in the 1987 Philippine Constitution, Executive Order No. 292 or the 1987 Administrative Code, Executive Order No. 509, series of 1992, as amended by Executive order No. 77, series of 1993, and Republic Act No. 6713.

Proceeds of the Fun Run will go to the Pondong Pamanang Lingkod Bayan for the benefit of families of civil servants who died or were killed while performing their duties. The Fun Run covered 3K and 5K distances.
