The Civil Service Commission as a member of the Inter-Agency Council on Violence Against Women And Their Children (IACVAWC) and a partner of the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW), has been continuously making efforts to advocate and perform its mandate with regard to VAW initiatives.
With the theme “End VAW Now! It’s Our Duty!,” this year’s 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC emphasizes the importance of having a functional mechanism, operated by competent and capable duty-bearers with a sense of responsibility and accountability, and a deep understanding of the fundamental principles of gender-based violence and the provisions of VAW laws.
In line with this, government offices and the local media are encouraged to support the campaign and play the promotional video produced by the PCW which is available on YouTube (key words: end VAW, PCW).
